Austin (Reflexion)

The Full Story

Austin was Bred by Kim Lawrence of Westwind sport horses out of her first brood mare Fleur and by international GP stallion Revolution. Revolution won the World young horse Championships in 2018 and has gone on to be a successful GP horse, Revolution was sold to Brazil to be a potential Olympic team horse in 2024. Austin was born in the Fraser Valley in 2017 and grew up in Pemberton at Riverlands. Started late in his 3 year old year Wes Schild put roughly the first 6 months of training on Austin and since day one he has proven himself to be a very safe and reliable horse to ride.

He had chunk of time off fallowing his initial 6 months of training and was restarted very early in his 5 year old year by Bobbi. Bobbi then rode him for the breeder who still owned him at the time. He attended a few clinics in his 5 year old year but mostly that year was focused on just getting him strong- he is Tall, nearly 17.3hh so the extra time to grow and develop was needed for him. He began his show career as a 6 year old, competing in training and First level with scores to 70% and ALWAYS being a very reliable horse off property. In 2024 Austin came out at second level and won the division Champion at every show he attended with Bobbi.

Bobbi acquired Austin from Kim in December 2024. Austin is currently WELL on his way to competing at 3rd level in the 2025 season and will continue to train and show with Bobbi until he is sold.

Austin has a lovely temperament and truly is a gentle giant. He IS a big boy, but he is fairly narrow on top and slab sided, that coupled with how light and responsive he is to the aids he has proven himself to be rideable even for shorter riders. Austin enjoys hacking and trail riding as well, he is good alone or in a group. Overall he is not a spooky character and gives a very confident feel even for a nervous type rider he feels very safe.

Austin in sound, with no vices and no maintenance at this time, he wears front shoes and has a "low maintenance" feeding program currently living in a mixed herd on pasture.
